Terms of Service

1. Service Description

PriceGhost ("we," "our," or "us") provides a Chrome browser extension and web dashboard (the "Service") that identifies products listed on Facebook Marketplace and compares their prices against major online retailers. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years of age.

3. Credit System & Payments

The Service operates on a credit-based model. Each product lookup consumes one credit. Credits are purchased in advance through our payment processor, Stripe.

• Credits are non-transferable between accounts.
• Credits do not expire.
• All prices are in US Dollars (USD).
• All purchases are final. Credits are non-refundable once purchased.
• If a technical error causes credits to be consumed without delivering results, contact us and we will restore the affected credits.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension or API
• Circumvent credit deduction or abuse the Service's pricing mechanisms
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the Service at scale
• Resell or redistribute data obtained through the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

5. Accuracy of Information

Product identifications and price comparisons are generated using AI and automated data retrieval. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that identifications are correct or that prices are current. Prices shown are for reference only and may not reflect real-time retailer pricing. Always verify pricing directly with the retailer before making purchasing decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by PriceGhost. You retain ownership of any data you provide. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PriceGhost is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. Upon termination, unused credits are forfeited.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
